Reasons why you should visit Seattle

Beautiful Seattle is a city unsuspectingly popular for its tourism. It’s one of the fastest growing cities in the U.S. with 15,000 residents added over the past year. Surrounded by water, mountains and lush evergreen forests, it contains thousands of acres of parkland ready to explore. Despite its rainy depiction, Seattle gets less annual rainfall than Boston, Houston, Atlanta, or even New York; so your chances of planning a sunny vacation here could be more tangible than you think! At FlyLargent we have all the resources available that you may need to get here!

This city is rich in culture and steeped in history being inhabited for over 4000 years. It was one of the first major American cities to have a female mayor which started a positive movement for women in politics. It also has a rich musical history being the birthplace of rock musician Jimi Hendrix, as well as the origin of the bands Pearl Jam, Nirvana, Alice in Chains, Soundgarden, Foo Fighters and the alternative rock movement grunge in general.

Space needle

Some well known landmarks in Seattle would of course include the Seattle Center, along with its iconic Space Needle which was built for the 1962 World’s Fair but has since been turned into an entertainment complex and park area with theaters, sports facilities, and restaurants; making Seattle a go to place for sight-seeing and entertainment!

Mount Rainier

Just south of Seattle is beautiful and breathtaking Mount Rainier. No trip to the Washington state would be complete without the full Mount Rainier experience! Perfect to visit no matter the season, Mount Rainier has something to offer every moment of the year. From skiing, snowshoeing, and snowboarding in the winter, to walking through the gorgeous wildflowers and feeling the mist on your face of the numerous waterfalls in the summer! Journey by foot on the vast number of trails, take a driven tour, or even take a ride on the Mt. Rainier Gondola!

Museum of Pop Culture

Before you even enter the building, the Museum of Pop Culture (or MoPOP for short) is quite the sight to behold. The exterior is made up of over twenty thousand individual pieces of shaped and painted metal to encase the entire structure and represent the fluidity and vitality of music and how it is forever changing and progressing. The innovation and fascination doesn't stop there, however. As soon as you enter the building the Museum of Pop Culture brings to the forefront the creativity of some of the biggest innovators, filmmakers, musical artists, and game-changers our generation has ever seen and brings to life those experiences in ways you may have never thought possible before.
This museum offers an arrangement of classes and programs for all ages including art camps, mentorship and teaching programs and more. MoPOP has also partnered with the Seattle International Film Festival in presenting it's Annual Science Fiction and Fantasy Short Film Festival! There is enough at MoPOP to keep you entertained for hours, so make sure you're fueled and hydrated!
